Debut Novel

The Christmas Warehouse (2025)

Carys Brannan's life looks perfect online. From glossy brand shoots to carefully edited reels, she's built a career as one of London's most recognisable content creators.

But behind the screen, Carys is restless. After years of selling other people's stories, she wants to create something that's her own. Her idea is simple. A warehouse in Stoke Newington turned into a creative hub where photographers, designers and influencers can collaborate in real life.

Piece by piece, she turns an empty warehouse into a home for ideas. But as the project grows, so do the people who find their way to it. Among them are Andrew, his loyal dog, and a group of friends whose lives look nothing like the ones Carys thought she was trying to inspire.

With Christmas drawing closer and the warehouse filling with fairy lights, paint tins and people who feel like family, Carys begins to realise that what she's building might be more important than she ever planned.

Heartfelt, funny and full of festive warmth, The Christmas Warehouse is a story about community, belonging and the courage to rebuild your life from the foundations up.

About Jo Coulton

Jo Coulton was born in the United Kingdom but grew up in sunny Queensland after her family moved to Australia when she was a child. She later returned to live in Oxford and London, where she fell in love with everything she now writes about - cobbled lanes, cosy bookshops, and warm cafés on grey afternoons.

She studied Science and Design at university and works in Technology, but her true passion has always been stories - especially the kind that end with twinkly lights and a happy sigh. A lifelong Christmas enthusiast, Jo knew her debut novel had to be a festive one. The Christmas Warehouse was inspired by her love of creative communities and the online content creators she follows, whose passion for building something meaningful sparked the idea for the story.

Jo now lives in Brisbane with her husband and their two small dogs, who firmly believe they're the main characters in every story. When she's not writing, she's usually walking the dogs along the beach at the family's holiday house, watching Christmas movies out of season, or dreaming up new tales set in Branwick Green - her fictional Cotswolds village inspired by her time in Oxford and her love of British village life.
